Pam graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a Masters in Elementary Education and an Ed. D. in Educational Administration. She taught for seven years before serving as an elementary school principal for seventeen years. Pam then served as a Professor at Missouri Baptist University for eleven years. She has been active in local, state, and national professional organizations and has published in several academic journals. She has been mentoring young adults since 2002 and has presented her research on cross-racial mentoring at urban education conferences. She has recently been certified to serve as a Citizen Deputy Juvenile Officer with the Family Court of St. Louis County. Pam serves The Covering House by serving as President of the Board and also as a frequent speaker for The Speakers’ Bureau of The Covering House.
Saint graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Saint spent more than 10 years of his career in social services serving children in mental health, juvenile corrections, child abuse prevention, foster care and adoption. He is currently a consultant at Slalom Consulting working in business and technology consulting. Saint is active in the community and involved with charities including Mission St. Louis and the St. Louis Promise Zone. Saint is a frequent speaker on adoption and foster care topics with churches, non-profits and adoption groups.
Chris has been serving The Covering House as the Treasurer since October of 2012.
Chris graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Finance. Chris has been serving clients with his financial expertise since 1992. He earned the CFP® certification as a demonstration of his commitment to upholding a recognized standard of excellence for financial planning. Chris joined Roman, Butler, Fullerton & Co. as a partner in 2010. He is active in the community with various charities including Our Little Haven, Camp Weloki and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri. He is a member of the Rotary of Webster Groves as well as the Webster Groves Chamber of Commerce. Actively involved in his church.
Kara is an Associate at Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C., where she represents clients in matters related to employee benefits and ERISA. Her practice has included involvement with all aspects of litigation related to public pensions. Kara’s experience includes representing clients at two other St. Louis law firms, and she interned for the Catholic Immigration Law Project and the Missouri State Public Defender. In 2013, Kara received Missouri Lawyers Weekly, Missouri Lawyers Award. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for The Covering House, Kara is also involved with The Young Friends of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri.
Stephanie serves as a Board Member on The Covering House Board of Directors. She holds a PH.D in Urban Education from the University of Missouri St. Louis. Stephanie is a Court Appointed Special Advocate for St. Louis City children within the Foster Care system. She also has worked as the Executive Director of Recruitment for St. Louis Public Schools, the clinical faculty member for teacher education at the University of Missouri St. Louis, and has worked as an Elementary Teacher.
Stephanie joined The Covering House Board of Directors in 2013. Stephanie has a heart for inner-city children and families. She serves The Covering House in a variety of capacities, such as Fundraising and Special events. Actively involved in her church and volunteers with the CASA organization.
David is a licensed CPA and is currently a Director at Ameren Corporation where he is responsible for the company’s financial reporting. David earned his undergraduate degree in accounting at Truman State University and his master’s in business administration from Washington University. Upon learning about the existence of sex trafficking in St. Louis, David became committed to helping these young victims.
William joined The Covering House as a Board Member in November of 2017. Bill graduated from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science/Economics. Following graduation, Bill attended law school at Washington University in St. Louis. He now manages a solo practice and serves as the City Prosecutor for Bellefontaine Neighbors. Bill also worked for the Missouri Attorney General as a litigation attorney, was a staff attorney for the U.S. Postal Service, and served as Assistant General Counsel at Furniture Brands, Inc., where he was responsible for their global litigation strategies.
