Road to Restoration

Youth who have endured sexual exploitation and trafficking experience complex trauma that will take years to process and heal. Our clients present with multiple trauma-related problems which can include; post-traumatic stress disorder, major depression, self-injurious behaviors, suicidal ideation, previous suicide attempts, elopement behavior, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, school anxiety and low self-esteem. These trauma-related problems impact our clients’ ability to establish safe and healthy relationships, interfere with their ability to make healthy decisions in regards to self-care and impact their potential to gain an education. It also disrupts their sense of self, robs them of childhood experiences and destroys their belief in the world being a safe place. The Covering House program is designed to start the restoration process in all of these areas while helping youth discover who they are without the shame of their pasts.

The Covering House Program provides services through our community services, prevention program and residential services.
